Homemade Chocolate Milk Powder
Full of flavor - you use much less powder than you do with the commercial, name brand powders!
2/3 cup sugar
1/3 cup cocoa
1 small pinch of salt
1/3 cup non-dairy creamer
Pulse these ingredients together in a food processor or blender (or you can just whisk them together). Store in an air tight container. That's it.
To make actual chocolate milk with this: add 1 tablespoon of powder per cup of milk. Also to get it to dissolve easily and to avoid clumps in your milk, dissolve the powder in 1 tablespoon warm water before adding the milk. This will not make your milk warm, I promise!

Tucano's Brazilian Lime Drink
Pulsing the lime wedges and pressing the limes is kind of a pain, but the taste is worth it in the end. No pain, no gain, right?
2 limes, each cut into eight pieces
3 cups cold water
1/2 cup sugar
2 tablespoons sweetened condensed milk
Pulse lime wedges in blender 5-10 times. Pour juice through a fine mesh strainer set over the top of a pitcher. Press limes with fingers to get all the juice out that you can. Discard rinds. Pour the strained juice back into the blender. Add water, sugar and sweetened condensed milk. Blend well. Pour mixed drink back into the pitcher. Serve in glasses over ice. Makes about three cups.
